Portfolio for DPhil proposal

In this portfolio, I will be showing three aspects of my image-making practice. Firstly, I will show examples of the themes of ceremonies and rituals that I wish to shoot. These photographs are the raw material for the abstraction and expansion processes.
Then I will show examples of work I have made through techniques of abstraction through painting with intuitive brushstrokes on photosensitive emulsion on paper.
Finally, I'll be showing process work from my proposed project; blending photographs of rituals and ceremonies in communion with nature with the experimental techniques of my art practice.
Intended themes, before abstraction process:
The Chiakonoba Festival in Tbilisi, Georgia and the Timkat Festival in Gondar, Ethiopia.
Zomba, Malawi.
Lamproba Festival in Svaneti, Georgia and night fishing on Lake Kivu in Rwanda.
Recent examples of expanded photography with experimental techniques
Process work for my proposed project: making images of the convergence of nature, ritual acts and nature, and expanding on them through experimental studio practice
